Brennyn's Firsts in Tennessee

Brennyn flashed her usual smile at meeting her great grandparents for the first time. And, she loved wading the doe river as evidenced by her screams when we took her out. Next year, she will no doubt join her brother and sister in the hunt for el-em-en-ows.

Trip to Tennessee

We had such a great time visiting Granny and Grandmommie and Papaw in Tennessee. Dylan was so proud about catching his first fish at Aunt Fannie's place. Keelyn was thrilled to meet their donkeys. The 4th of July picnic kicked off with some Ring Around the Rosie. The food was great, the watermelon even better, and Dylan sharing with his sister... so sweet. We spent every evening wading in the river, a perfect cap to the end of great days.

Why We Love Visiting Tennessee

On arriving home from our visit to Tennessee, we were greeted with this by email, "Wow! We enjoyed you all sooooo much. Can’t get over how smart Dylan is. I loved seeing my name sake too, she is so perfect. You all are great parents and doing a fine job. Isn’t it hard to take care of two babies? But the years will slip by so quickly. You will get up one morning and say, where did the years slip by so fast? Take time to enjoy the small things with these passing days. I missed you all before you left the driveway. I recall Dylan saying “be careful” when he sat down out on the bridge after throwing rocks in the branch. You all are so blessed with perfect children. Please come back again and we will eat cinnamon toast, and wonder what we will do next. Love, Grandmommie"

Dylan and Debra enjoyed good times with Grandmommie and Papaw while we hiked.
Cinnamon toast is delicious after a good hike!

Great Grandparents - Take 2!

You may remember from an earlier post that Dylan met his great grandparents on Josh's Dad's side of the family, well, now he travelled to Tennessee to meet his great grandparents on Josh's Mom's side. The mountain in the background is Jenkins Mountain named for Grandmommie's family.
