Dylan and Bella

Dylan and Bella (NatNat's beautiful little girl) took a break from their busy day to pose for this picture.

Let's Go Caps!

Daddy and Dylan tried their very best to cheer on the Caps. Dylan chanted, Let's Go Caps and Go Ovie, but still they lost. We'll cheer again next year.

The Zoo

To celebrate our beautiful spring weather and my last few days of maternity leave, Josh took the morning and we took off for the National Zoo. The weather was perfect and the animals were active. We arrived in time to see the sea lion training which Dylan LOVED! The monkeys (orangutans really) were a big hit as were the snakes, turtles, and frogs (monitor lizards). Unfortunately, we ran up against nap time so we had to skip the elephants, giraffes, and pandas -- next time.

Uh-Oh Touchdown

After a season record of 20-0-1, the Blackhawks (Josh's team) fell to DLT Solutions with a score of 5-1 (sigh). It was an early game, 7:45 as opposed to 11:00, so I (bravely) brought Dylan and Keelyn to the game to watch Daddy play -- they were both so good. To the title of the post -- when DLT scored their first goal, Dylan said, "uh-oh touchdown," which I guess he assessed from the reaction of the red team (Blackhawks). Josh has tried to teach Dylan that in hockey we call them goals, but Dylan believes and insists all scoring opportunities are touchdowns. On the bright side, Dylan does know the difference between a puck and a ball and said "puck" oh about 100 times as we watched it slide up and down the ice. Josh and Bob said they now know how the Patriots feel (undefeated season only to lose the big one!). There's always next season -- starts again in a couple of weeks.

Beautiful, Cool, and Tough

Granny came to visit to celebrate Keelyn and Josh's Birthday, but the day belonged to Dylan at Great Country Farm where he enjoyed the view atop the moon bounce, sported his Elmo sunglasses, and rode high on top of a cow (statue).

Cry Face

Keelyn looks like her Daddy when she cries. I have always said this about Dylan too. And, when Keelyn was born, the hospital pediatrician having no prior knowledge of this similarity said, "you look like your Daddy when you cry." It must be true! This is a face we often see, in fact, Keelyn has mastered the pout which already gets her anything she wants (cuddled, mostly) -- we are so in for it!

I'll Get It

Keelyn was napping in our bed while the rest of the family - Mommy, Daddy, and Dylan -- were downstairs playing and folding clothes. Keelyn woke up and started crying and Dylan said, "I'll get it!" and climbed up the stairs and into our bed and had his arms wrapped around her as I arrived behind him. He's so great!

A Little Tight

Keelyn loves this sweet outfit from our friends Beth, Jesse, and Charlotte, even if she does seem to think it is a little tight around the collar.
