Pumpkins and Ponies and Pigs, Oh My

And apples too... On the way to Great Country Farm we stopped to pick some apples which we later made into apple tart. The big story was Great Country Farm -- Dylan rode a horse again and still LOVES it, we rode the tractor out to the pumpkin patch and picked some pumpkins, and we saw pig races for the first time ever (Dylan was very excited). It was a fun way to spend the day coming off of a day stuck in the house due to rain.

Giddy Up Horse

It was one of those things we found in the community paper and taped to the calendar and thought maybe we'll go. We are so glad we went to the blue ridge fall races, we had soooo much fun. Dylan loved his first pony ride ever, he had no hesitation and knew just what to do, he grabbed on to the saddle and when the horse stopped part way through, he said, giddy up horse. He also loved the races themselves, we were up close to the fence as the horses galloped by and he screamed, "woa". Keelyn enyojed the view from the safety and comfort of her bjorn. This was also the day Dylan discovered grasshoppers as he and Daddy chased them through the grass. It really was a fun day.

Riding on Success

Daddy's company had an event at Kings Dominion and since Dylan loved Six Flags so much, we decided to give it a go. Dylan LOVED the roller coaster, he rode again and again. Aunt Laura and Uncle Zach came to town and joined in the fun, though, they had a lot to measure up to with Uniqua in town. Dylan is a big fan of the Backyardigans (as is his Mommy, we have their songs on our iPod, oh yeah, that's right.

Six Flags

Grandpa took the whole family to Six Flags. Dylan is observant by nature, so we started with the carousel which he very much enjoyed and then we worked our way up to teacups which he LOVED as you can see he has hands in the air saying, "woa". Keelyn never made it past the carousel though she was just as happy.
