Dylan laughs in the bath - 3 months old

Dylan laughs in the bath - 3 months old
He would laugh and laugh when we washed him.

Dylan rings in 3 months with a giggle...

and a smile,

and a contemplative stare at a bumble bee. The background quilt is courtesy of our friend Hilary’s mom and the giraffe outfit is courtesy of our friend Heather.

In praise of slowness

A good book title and an apt description of Dylan’s dad as they sport their turtle outfits.

It’s finger licking good

Dylan has discovered his fingers and he very much enjoys talking with his mouth full, a habit we hope to break when orange squash (or green spinach, as if) replaces his fingers.

For sentimental reasons

Dylan had his first (of course, not last) visit to Great Falls, Virginia. This is where we wrote our wedding vows just over two years ago.

Being in a sentimental mood, we wrote vows (if you will) for Dylan:

- we love you for the chance to see the sun rise every day
- we love you for sharing your joyous smile
- we love you for singing, dancing, and cuddling
- we love you for making everyday activities extraordinary
- we love you for teaching us to look around in awareness
- we love you for the opportunity to fall in love all over again

Another golf hopeful

Following a family tradition of professional, semi-professional, and wanna-be golfers, Dylan had his first golf lesson from his dad (who falls in that latter category).

The Beach

Dylan is loving his first trip to the beach.

While he was getting his toes wet, a big wave came and soaked him and Mama -- he squealed.

Then his daddy dipped him in the deep water and he squealed again. Daddy had a turn to squeal when a big wave surprised him on the way back to shore.
