I Feel Like Dancing

To commemorate Dylan's 18 Month Birthday and for a family holiday photo, we visited picture people. Dylan was slow to start, so Mommy sang his favorite theme song, Backyardigans, and he turned in a circle snapped his fingers and hummed along.

Daddy's Helper

Seriously! Dylan loves chores! His favorite chore -- loading the dishwasher, closing the lid and pushing the "normal wash" button. When he spills milk or juice, he grabs a tissue and wipes up the mess AND throws the tissue in the trash. He helps carry groceries from the staging area in the foyer to the kitchen. He pushes his stroller while we're in the mall (yes, riding in the stroller is out of the question which is why we use it for packages.) And, this his most recent fave -- vacuuming with Daddy. Oh, yes, Daddy is in charge of vacuuming before, during, and after pregnancy -- yay Daddy!

A Table Fit for a Boy

Before we found a great home daycare for Dylan, he was in the system. One thing about the system we missed is the small tables where the kids would sit around eating and coloring and other such activities. Dylan always looked so grown-up and independent. So, we decided to bring a little of the system home and bought him his very own table -- and he seems quite happy to have it.

WOW!

WOW was the word of the day heard at last count 20 times by Dylan who had a great time at the fire station pancake breakfast (Daddy was pretty excited too!). An equally good time was had by Russell with his Mom, Carla, and sister, Nora.

Look Ma, No Feet

Costume night at gym class must have given Dylan super powers -- for the first time, he climbed right up to the bar, grabbed on, and picked up his feet, and started swinging! He followed that move by a trip around the bar (with some help from his coach) which he absolutely loved. And, then he topped off the night with a walk across the balance beam (both forwards and backwards). Wow!
